It can even be drawn on and painted on, don't have to worry about damaging floor, and will be a cool art piece by the time we are done with it.

"safe garden"
the garden should be kept completely safe with an edible landscaping, to cement reconfiguring to incorporate mosses inbetween broken up concrete for walkways. kept free of thorny plants and trees(see there was a reason why the lemon tree died!) Tools should be kept shut away. safe for little toddlers to explore.

This is a new candle holder I built today. It combines a garage sale wooden printing block and the shade of an old metal lamp that I believe used to sit on my grandfather's desk in our house. I build a lot of furniture out of recycled materials, but it is extra special to me when I can incorporate things from previous family generations.

This page will grow to house some project ideas and random musings about the place I live. It is a 60's wood frame house, a gathering space, suburbia, a warm feeling. It is a space where I have gathered many ideas and learned an incredible amount of practical life skills, and I am extremely fortunate to live there.
There will be a subdomain someday.
